Comic Book Writing: From Idea to Finished Product

Serena Valentino, writer of such notable SLG Publishing series Gloomcookie a

nd Nightmares & Fairy Tales conducts a four week class on taking your comic book idea from concept to pitch and proposal to writing your final script. In this four week class Serena will help guide students on how to take their

 initial ideas and fleshing them out to researching them and developing them into both a final finished script as well as a proposal. Subjects covered in the four weeks include Writing and Thinking in Images, Doing Your Research, Writing For Yourself and an Artist and many other topics.  The final session will include a critique of each participants project from 

the aspect of its professional presentation and completeness.

DATES: Session 1 - April 11, Session 2 - April 18th, Session 3 - April 25th, Session 4 - May 9th

TIMES: 1-4 PM

Location: SLG Publishing Compound 577 S. Market Street San Jose CA 95113

Cost: $60 for all four weeks. Must be purchased as a group.
